FAITH IN ACTION WEEK - October 16th-20th: During the aftermath of hurricanes, we will be providing a safety net for families in need to ensure that children do not have to sleep on the street because area shelters are full. As we will be feeding the families and volunteers during the week, donations of Publix and Target Gift Cards are requested to provide breakfast & lunch. If you would like to provide a prepared dinner one evening, please contact Steven Sims at firstname.lastname@example.org Let's make these visitors feel the care and love that First United Methodist Church has.

How GriefShare Works
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
The sessions do not need to be attended in order. Each session is self-contained and you can begin at any place in the sequence. (from the Griefshare website at https://www.griefshare.org/about)
“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
